Melissa Rammage, PharmD, MS, BCOP
Melissa leverages her extensive background in healthcare to drive product innovation and strategic business growth, with a focus on developing and piloting innovative healthcare solutions, informed by clinical expertise. She received a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Florida and a Master of Science in Molecular Biology (Biotechnology) from Johns Hopkins University—she is also a board-certified Oncology Pharmacist. Melissa has over 15 years of experience in clinical research, including neurogenetics at the Mayo Clinic and National Institutes of Health before transitioning to cancer-based research. After working in oncology community practice for many years, Melissa transitioned to IBM Watson Health to focus on AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP) solutions for cancer care and treatment.
Melissa’s career includes roles in research management, investigational drug pharmacy, product implementation and product business. She has also co-authored publications in both neurogenetics and oncology. Her interests span pharmacogenomics, pharmacovigilance, patient advocacy, healthcare innovation and clinical research.
Melissa serves as a Florida Community Board Member of the Susan G. Komen Foundation, advocating for breast cancer advancements. She is also the Communications Co-Chair of the Women Empowered South Board, a McKesson employee resource group dedicated to fostering an inclusive and empowering work environment.
